I will not say it isn't your fault. Managing this is your responsibility. If you wanted to beat him, and let the AI slip to do it for you, that is one thing. But if he acted entirely against your will, then we have a problem.

I assume Angel already knows. I'm no technical expert, but some people here are. You have two options, Rhys. The first is to try to handle this discreetly and isolate yourself until you do, from everyone but people you are certain the AI won't hurt. The second is to reveal the problem on your own terms and make a public display of goodwill by looking for help. Personally I would choose the first option anytime. But following last week's... fiasco, [he still growls a little under his breath when he thinks about it,] I'm inclined to advise the second.

I suspect that this will backfire spectacularly. [Beckett keeps his voice neutral. He can't in good faith tell Rhys he's wrong, when he's just said he'd take option one any time. And he meant it, too.] But it is your choice, and you know how I feel about letting people make their own choices.

You're a vampire, you're supposed to know that.] Were there any other witnesses to the attack? Since House hasn't said anything yet, he probably knows he can't milk this right now, and is saving it for a rainy day. Although - [and here he actually gives a wry chuckle] it isn't as though anyone in town can do anything, can they? They've proven that much repeatedly.
